There is no hotter volleyball team on Long Island right now and Sachem East proved it again Thursday night.
After upsetting rival and top-seeded Sachem North in the semifinals, the Arrows beat reigning champion Lindenhurst, 3-1, to win the school’s first Suffolk County title.
Lindenhurst won the first set 16-25, and then East rattled off three straight wins, 25-20, 25-22, 25-18, for the victory.
No. 4 Sachem East (14-3) will go on to play for a Long Island championship Saturday at Hofstra University.
Ryan Cole added 13 blocks and four kills, while Sean Harrington had 14 kills and 11 digs for East.
