Sachem East field hockey improved to 9-0 with a 1-0 victory over Ward Melville on Tuesday afternoon.
Cara Trombetta scored the game’s only goal on an assist from Kelly McKeveny with 530 left in the first half.
Sachem East goalie Desteny Holder made three saves in net for the shutout.
In nine games this season, Sachem East has recorded six shutouts.
Sachem East has not lost a game since Oct. 24, 2011, a stretch of 713 days. That’s a mark of 52-1 over the last two years.
The girls are in action again on Thursday, Oct. 10 against Commack at 4:15 p.m.
