Both Sachem East and Hills East come into Friday’s game with 0-3 records. They’re hungry and ready to rid themselves of a winless season.
Even though they haven’t produced much on offense this year, Sachem East has held teams to low point totals. Northport really led just 14-0 until a minute in the game, Sachem North scored its lowest points of the season at 35 in Week 1 and Commack couldn’t muster much in the air or on the ground.
At this point Sachem East needs a spark, a few big offensive drives and the same pressure on defense. This season is far from over and remember eight schools make the playoffs, so a 5-3 or even 4-4 record could be enough for a postseason bid.
