In May the Sachem North Interact Club participated in the March for Babies to support the March of Dimes.
The walk took place at Bethpage Park, the stadium for the Long Island Ducks, in Central Islip.
The club set a goal of raising $3,000 to beat their previous record of $2,600 the year before.
Students went above and beyond with fundraising efforts and proudly raised $3,850.
The money raised supports local NICUs and goes towards research that helps prevent birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
