Merrimac Elementary School held its eighth annual talent show fundraiser on Thursday night at Sequoya.
Merrimac’s Got Talent raised money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of fifth grade student Kyle Beck, who has the disease. The school raised more than $4,000.
“It is a great evening,” said Merrimac Principal Veronica DeCicco. “Talent, Chinese auction, and a lesson learned about paying it forward as well as having a classmate explain how the disease has impacted his life and the foundation is working for a cure.”
