John Giannotti of the Sachem Swim Club competed in the New York State Empire Games for the Physically Challenged last week and had a wonderful experience.
Accompanied by Coach Rainey and other friends and family, John dominated the competition, bringing home three gold medals.
He swam the 25 free (43.46), 25 back (52.11), and 25 breast (48.70). All of the other swimmers and coaches were impressed with John’s technique and competitive drive.
John will be informed in a couple of weeks as to whether or not he has been chosen to compete in the Regional Games in Rochester, N.Y.
On the SSC website, it says, “Sachem Swim Club would like to congratulate John on his terrific performance at the meet. We are very proud of you John, and are thrilled that you were able to represent Sachem Swim Club at this fantastic event.”
