“We Are Sachem” could have been the motto at the National Kidney Foundation Long Island Walk last weekend.
Sachem alum Jill Nicolini (’96), a reporter from Fox 5 NY, hosted the walk at Eisenhower Park. At the walk, she met Sachem alumni and Wenonah’s Library Media Specialist, Erin Lounsbury-Marone (03′).
She announced that Lounsbury-Marone was one of the walk’s top three fundraisers on Long Island, raising more than $3,000 in honor of her mom, Sachem teacher, Lenore Lounsbury.
Lounsbury-Marone was invited to the foundation’s award’s reception on June 19. Sachem alumni are synergizing to fight against kidney disease.
