Sachem North alum and Oswego defender Megan McNulty was named to the All-State University of New York Athletic Conference women’s lacrosse team as voted on by the league’s coaches.
Named to the second team, she is one of three athletes from her Oswego team to be selected with SUNYAC honors this season.
McNulty, a co-captain, recorded 17 draw controls, scooped up 17 groundballs in eight conference contests and was often assigned to the opposition’s top attack player.
According to the school’s athletic communications office, this marks the first time since 2005 that more than one Oswego State player was named to the all-conference squads.
The Lakers finished the season at 8-8 overall and 4-4 in the league standings.
