Sachem North’s Kevin Bragaglia is fast. Real fast. If you remember from the fall, he had one of the best sophomore seasons in Sachem football history as a running back and defensive back. Now it’s track season for the young pup and he’s already equally as effective.
Bragaglia won the frosh-soph long jump event at the Suffolk County Officials Meet on Saturday at Mount Sinai High School with a leap of 19-feet, 8-inches. He also placed third in the sophomore 100-meter dash with a time of 11.75, slightly better than his 11.92 semifinal sprint.
In football, Bragaglia rushed for 517 yards and three touchdowns, and was a force from his defensive back position where he recorded nine interceptions, which were good enough for second most in a career and tied the record for most in a single-season in Sachem history.
He’s only a sophomore.
