It’s not often that bowlers grab the spotlight, but Sachem East’s Nick Caruana managed to nab a profile from Newsday High School Sports this weekend.
This year Caruana has moved to the lead anchor spot on the Sachem East boys bowling squad.
“I’m very confident in what I can do,” Caruana told Newsday. “There’s pressure, but I don’t get nervous and it gives me a challenge. I set a goal for myself and try my hardest to get there.”
This year he finished with a Suffolk best 232 average.
