Students at Tecumseh Elementary School will be reading to change lives. Tecumseh is excited to be partnering with Blanca’s House for the 2013 Parents as Reading Partners (PARP) program.
Blanca’s House is a nonprofit organization of volunteer healthcare professionals who donate their time to provide children and their families with free medical treatment.
As a result of this partnership, this year’s theme will be “Reading Changes Live and Puts a Smile of Children’s Faces”.
The kick-off will take place next month during the school day for students and with a milk and cookies night for families.
The PARP Program is run by librarian Tina Evan and classroom teacher Devon Lampasona.
“This promises to be a fun and heart-warming learning experience,” said Tecumseh Principal Laura Amato.
