Sachem North girls soccer: Courtney Cohen gave Sachem North a 3-2 victory over Connetquot Monday with a goal off a direct kick in overtime. Sachem is now 4-1.
Sachem East girls soccer: Sachem East improved to 4-0-1 with a 1-0 win over Commack. Jody Wellcome scored her first career varsity goal.
Sachem East boys volleyball: Sachem improved its record to 6-1 with a 3-0 win over East Hampton Monday. Nestor Payne recorded eight kills and four blocks, while Nick Laffin had 10 kills.
Sachem East girls tennis: The Sachem East girls varsity tennis team beat Bellport, 7-0, Monday. The victory raised their record to 5-4 in League 6. Jenna Scarola won at first singles, 6-2, 6-3, Rachel Wadler beat her opponent at second singles, 6-3, 6-0, while Margaret Hartofilis crushed her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at third singles and Val Luutran won easily at fourth singles 6-1, 6-1. Sam May and Victoria Coffaro handled their first doubles opponents easily, 6-0, 6-1 while Malorie Nitz and Charlee Timmerman won at second doubles 6-4, 6-2, and Melody Ribeiro and Lauren Doucette beat their opponents at third doubles 6-1, 6-1. Their next home match is this Wednesday against Stony Brook Prep School.
