Sachem Athletic Director Pete Blieberg is still looking to get in touch with players from Sachem’s 1977 team for a 35th anniversary celebration on Oct. 19.

Letter from Blieberg:
As we quickly approach the Oct. 19 reunion of your Rutgers Trophy winning team, I am in dire need of your help to make this night a success. For one of your team mates to miss out on this night because they didn’t know about it would be terrible. Since we are trying to use the “social network” to reach the members of your team, I need you guys to ramp up your email blasts, face books and twitter accounts as well as the good old fashion telephone to let everyone know about this night.
I have provided a list below of your former teammates who we have yet to hear back from. I have a strict deadline of Wednesday, Oct. 3 to get the jacket order in so we have them in time for the 19th PLEASE, take a minute, look at the list and reach out to anyone on the list that you may be able to reach. I have been fortunate enough to have held these types of events in my two former districts as well as last year hear at Sachem for the ’86 Rutgers team (25th Anniversary) and the turnout has been tremendous. To date, WE STILL HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM THE **26** PEOPLE LISTED BELOW. Some of those names were contacted, but have yet to respond (so get on them). I also know a number of former players still live locally and we need to reach them ASAP. For those who are out of state, they will need lead time to make travel plans and that’s why I am asking for your help to get the word out now so they can contact me and be included in this great event.
