Sachem has won 45 consecutive regular season matches dating back to Oct. 18, 2012.
The team is ranked No. 1 in New York by the New York Volleyball Coaches Association and currently sits atop Newsday’s Big 10.
Top seeded Sachem opened up its playoff campaign with a three-set win over No. 8 Bay Shore on Tuesday.
From the stat sheets, Neil Tufano had 10 kills and three blocks, Matt Grace recorded 34 assists, four kills and two blocks, while Rob Nolan had nine digs and three aces.
Sachem will host No. 4 Lindenhurst in the Suffolk semifinals on Thursday at 4 p.m.
